About the workplace

The municipal adult education in Sala is run in-house: Komvux as special education, SFI, a number of courses within Komvux at basic and upper secondary level, as well as healthcare education. We share premises with Kungsängsgymnasiet at the southern entrance to Sala. Currently, 14 teachers work at Adult Learning in four teams, along with administrative staff, totaling 20 people. As one of our teachers has found another job, there is an opportunity for you to become one of our new colleagues.

Job responsibilities

As a teacher, you will plan, implement, document, and follow up on the pedagogical work in accordance with the guidelines provided in the adult education governing documents. You will be part of a team with others who teach at SFI, basic, and upper secondary levels. Together with your colleagues, you will work to develop the operations and provide conditions for good goal achievement for the students.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree qualified to teach Swedish as a second language; certification in additional subjects is an advantage. Previous experience in adult education is meritorious. You are an experienced user of digital tools and see them as a natural part of teaching. You are open to collaboration as we promote a work environment that strengthens collegial learning both within and between teams.

As adult education is constantly influenced by societal developments, you must be solution-focused and flexible, seeing opportunities in changes. You have an inclusive and student-oriented approach. You have high expectations of the students and can utilize their experiences. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Employment conditions

Full-time, permanent, vacation employment. A probationary period may apply. Start date 26-05-01 or by agreement. Individual salary setting.
